Building Square feet: 53,000
Mechanical Cost: $2,000,000
This project renovated a Historic Cornerstone Building located on the campus of Western Michigan University. Previously referred to as East hall. This newly renovated historic building is now recognized as Heritage Hall. This project is currently seeking a LEED Accreditation of Platinum. This will be WMU’s first LEED Platinum Building. Over the course of 2015 this magnificent 53,000 sq. ft. structure was restored to this iconic building upon Western Michigan University’s wonderful campus.
Our mechanical renovation placed its emphasis on energy recovery. Using a geothermal technology integrated with heat pump chiller, condensing boiler and energy recovery air handlers; this building transforms nature’s natural energy into a constant and stable climate.
